DESCRIPTION
FAULT CODE
1133
FAULT MESSAGE EXPR circuit open. Run Auto / manual test
May not power up.
RESTRICTIONS
--
ALARM BELL
5 seconds
RESET LEVEL
Low, Manual
After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when EXPR circuit is detected as closed.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. Defective EXPR relay
2. Defective wiring.
3. Slackness of Connector of cable at MEP-660 (Cable ID: AY)
4. Defective digital output card MLSD 16 in slot 14
5. Slackness of connector of cable at MEP-660 (cable ID: AV)
6. Defective digital input card MDIP 16 in slot 11.
FAULT
ISOLATION
After cranking wait for two minutes and check the status of EXPR relay.
1. If EXPR relay is not picking up check the supply at EXPR relay coil
terminals.
A. If the voltage is more than 65V, and still the relay is not picking
up then the EXPR relay is defective. Replace the relay.
2. If the voltage is zero, check the voltage at coil terminal (Wire-13)
with respect to locomotive 4 wire.
A. If the voltage is zero, check the continuity of 13-wire loop
coming to EXPR relay. If necessary replace the open circuited /
wrong connections.
3. If voltage is more than 65V, check the voltage between locomotive
wire-50 and EXPR coil terminal (wire No. EXPRCL).
A. If the voltage is zero
a) Check slackness of connector of cable (Cable ID: AY) at MEP-
660. If the cable is slack tighten.
b) Check continuity of wire EXPRCL from EXPR coil terminal to
MEP-660 (Cable ID: AY Pin-S). If necessary replace the cable.
c) If continuity I good, then digital output card MLSD 16 in slot
No. 14 is defective.
4. If the EXPR relay is picking up, check the status of Green LED 2 on
the digital input card MDIP 16 in slot No. 11.
5. If LED is not glowing, check voltage at EXPR relay interlock terminal
(Wire No.51)
A. If voltage is zero, check the continuity of wire 51 coming to
EXPR relay interlock. If necessary replace open circuited / wrong
connections.
6. If voltage is more than 65V, check the voltage between locomotive
50 wire and EXPRFB wire at EXPR interlock terminal.
A. If the voltage is zero, the interlock contact is bad. Replace the
relay.
7. If the voltage is more than 65V,
A. check the slackness of the connector of cable (Cable ID: AV) at
MEP-660. If cable connector is slack, tighten the connector.
B. If connector is tight, check the continuity of the wire EXPRFB
from EXPR relay interlock to MEP-660 (Cable ID: AV Pin-C). If
