6. LUBRICATING OIL
6.1 USE OF LUBRICATING OIL ACCORDING TO TEMPERATURES
Use of lubricating oil should vary with changes in temperature.
• A specified oil quantity is defined as a total quantity of oil including that for unit piping, and a
replacement oil quantity is defined as a quantity of oil to be replaced at inspection and
maintenance.
• Always use SAE10W-CD, SAE10W-30CD, or SAE10W-40CD to start the engine with
temperature at 0°C or below despite rise in diurnal temperature.
• Be sure to use our recommended abrasion-resistant hydraulic oil for the hydraulic oil system.
ISO VG32 is used when the product was shipped.
• For adjustment of antifreeze concentrations in coolant with temperature at -10°C or below, see
“INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE 9.10 EVERY 1000 HOURS MAINTENANCE [1]
CLEANING ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM”.
