REFLECTION
RF
The standard front panel RF OUT connector is a female type-N 50
connector. When Option
is ordered, this front panel connector is a
female type-N 75 connector.
This port outputs the RF signal and also serves as an input for reflection
measurements.
TRANSMISSION
RF IN
The standard front panel RF IN connector is a female type-N 50 connector.
When Option
is ordered, this front panel connector is a female
type-N 75 connector.
This port receives the RF signal for internal transmission measurements.
C A U T I O N
While 50 and 75 Type-N connectors are similar in appearance, they are
compatible. 75 type-N connectors have a smaller center pin. Connector
damage can result if you attach a 50 male connector to a 75 female
connector.
‘lb adapt from 50 to 75 always use a minimum loss pad:

For adapting from 50 female to 75 female use an HP
Option 004, minimum loss pad.
l
For adapting from 75 female to 50 female, use a standard HP
minimum loss pad.
