N O T E
This chapter assumes that you are familiar with the information provided in the
Programmer’s
(supplied with your analyzer) and the
HP
User’s
(supplied with Option
analyzers).
N O T E
This chapter explains how to control your analyzer with either the internal
option
or with
an external controller connected via HP-IB. If you have ordered the LAN option
you have the
additional capability of controlling the analyzer over a LAN. Refer to the
User’s Guide
for information.
An automated measurement system is a system where a computer performs
some of the tasks that you would normally have to do manually.
The information in this chapter will help you learn about how to automate
your measurement system. Several features of the instrument that are useful
for automation are explained.
