#3: A rack fixture attached to a Device is used to secure the rack pillars and the front of the
Device so that they are flat when the Device is installed in a rack.

#1: Install the guide rail in the location described in 4.4 Mounting on a Rack.
#2: The rubber pads for the Device are attached 56 mm inward from the sides of the Device.
Use a guide rail with a width of 56 mm or less so that it does not touch the rubber pads (see
Figure 2-3 Guide rail details).

It is not possible for the provided rack fixture alone to support the weight of a Device. Its
purpose is merely to hold a Device on the rack. Accordingly, use the following fixtures:
Hitachi WAN Accelerator: Guide rails or a shelf
You must use the guide rails and shelves provided with the rack, and these must be
able to support the weight of a Device (with the maximum number of optional modules
installed).
