On the Tokyo site, which uses an L3 out-of-path configuration, the Router uses PBR
(policy-based routing) to transfer packets subject to WAN acceleration processing to the
Device. Port 1/1 is connected to a line on the Router side, and a NIF equipped with an SP is
installed on NIF 2. VLAN 100 is used for user traffic. VLAN 2222 is used for control traffic of
a NIF equipped with an SP.
The Device in New York uses an L2 in-path configuration, in which Port 1/1 is connected to
a line on the LAN side, and a NIF equipped with an SP is installed on NIF 2. VLAN 200 is
used for user traffic. VLAN 2222 is used for control traffic of a NIF equipped with an SP. (For
