10.2 Notes on CLI operation
10.2.1 Notes on inputting a sequence of commands
If you enter a series of commands in the following conditions, the Device sometimes fails to
accept the commands in general user mode, device administrator mode, or configuration
mode:
-
Any of the commands changes SP administrator mode or SP user mode to general user
mode, device administrator mode, or configuration mode, or the
exit
command is used.
-
Command lines are copied and pasted or a terminal function is used.
To change SP administrator mode or SP user mode to general user mode, device
administrator mode, or configuration mode, and enter commands, check the prompt output
for general user mode, device administrator mode, or configuration mode before entering
commands.
10.2.2 Notes in SP modes
The SP modes have the following restrictions.
The history functionality allows you to easily re-execute a command entered in the
past using arrow keys (up, down, left, and right), and to change a part of the command
for another similar command. Use of "!" or "^" does not convert command strings
executed in the past.
Paging is enabled on the SP.
The CSU warning messages and operation messages that occurred in an SP mode
appears after the SP mode ends.
The exclamation mark "!" that appears when the running configuration of the CSU
has been edited and the edited configuration is not saved is not linked with SP mode.
