G.2.4
Control Activation Jumpers
The SENTRY™ system allows the remote PC user to control the transmitter. Included
in the shipment with the eCDi™ are 12 small jumpers to be used to connect the control
signals from the monitor board to the transmitter controller. If all eCDi™ control
commands are to be allowed, all of these jumpers must be installed. Removing any one
jumper disables that control signal.
G.2.4.1 Jumper Installation
Open the control cabinet front panel and locate J65, a 28-pin DIP header near the lower
left corner of the Monitor board (shown in Figure G-2). A non-SENTRY™ transmitter
will have only one jumper in place, in the 13th position from the left side. This jumper
is used for an internal monitor function and should always be in place.
Install the jumpers, supplied with the eCDi™ kit, in the 12 positions to the left of the
existing permanent jumper to enable all eCDi™ controls.
If one or more of the eCDi™ controls are to be blocked, the jumpers controlling these
commands should be omitted. Refer to Figure G-2 to locate the jumpers you need to
omit.
