4.2
Updating the eCDi™
If it is necessary to update the software in the eCDi™ , the administrator login and
password are required.
4.2.1
Before Starting...
There are 2 versions of the "ecdi.bin" file used to upgrade the unit. One is about 3MB
and the other is about 30MB. It is recommended that the following steps be performed
first using the smaller ecdi.bin file and then again using the larger ecdi.bin file. The
smaller file updates the eCDi™ software, while the larger file updates the online
manual and the operating system packages.
STEP 1
Open a connection to the eCDi™ . This will bring up the screen shown in
Figure 4-1. Click on “Service eCDi” (upper left portion of the screen)
and then select “Upgrade”. This will open the window in Figure 4-2.
