Network Firewall Setup
7.1
Introduction
This section is intended to give experienced networking personnel the ability to setup
up the necessary ports to allow the eCDi™ to be controlled through a firewall.
Network connectivity to eCDi™ requires a standard TCP/IP network supporting:
•
Typical network protocols such as ARP, ICMP, etc.
•
10Mb or 100Mb speeds at half-duplex or full-duplex
7.2
Firewall Ports
To be able to use the eCDi™ through a firewall, the following lists of ports require
bidirectional functionality (common in todays LANs) with the specified ports being the
establish/destination ports for the connection. Most are optional, depending on what
features of eCDi the customer will use:
