Select the <Linkage Action> tab to set up <Alarm Response Actions> for the <Video Tampering
Alarm> (please refer to
Chapter 8.6 Setting Alarm Response Actions
).

Click the <OK> button to complete the <Video Tampering Settings> of the channel.
8.5 Handling an Exceptions Alarm
Exception settings refer to the <Handling Action> of various exceptions, e.g.
<HDD Full>:
The HDD is full.
<HDD Error>:
Writing HDD error or unformatted HDD.
<Network Disconnected>:
Disconnected network cable.
<IP Conflicted>:
Duplicated <IP Address>.
<Illegal Login>:
Incorrect <User ID> or <Password>.
<Record/Capture Exception>:
No space for saving recorded files or captured images.
<Hot Spare Exception>:
Disconnected with the working device.
Steps:
Enter the <Exception> interface of System Configuration and handle various exceptions.
Menu> Configuration> Exceptions

8.6 Setting Alarm Response Actions
<Alarm Response Actions> will be activated when an <Alarm> or an <Exception> occurs, including
<Event Hint Display>, <Full Screen Monitoring>, <Audible Warning> (buzzer), <Notify Surveillance
Center>, <Trigger Alarm Output> and <Send Email>.
<Event Hint Display>:
When an <Event> or an <Exception> happens, a <Hint> can be displayed on the lower-left corner of the
<Live View Image>. And you can click the <Hint> icon to check the details. Besides, the event to be
displayed is configurable.
Steps:
1.
Enter the <Exception Settings> interface: Menu > Configuration > Exceptions
2.
Check the checkbox of <Enable Event Hint>.
