Chapter 2 CUTTER BLADES, CUTTER PENS AND PENS
Color of the blade length adjustment knob: Red
PHP31-CB15-HS cutter pen for 1.5 mm blades
Holder (B)
(1) Remove holder (B) by turnng the blade length adjustment knob n the counterclockwse
drecton.
(2) Remove the cutter blade from the holder.
(3) Wth the holder facng downward, nsert the new cutter blade.
(4) Make sure the cutter blade s nserted straght nto the holder. If the cutter blade s
postoned at an angle, gently tap the plunger to correct the orentaton of the cutter blade.
(5) Wth the holder facng downward, attach the plunger cap and then turn the blade length
adjustment knob n the clockwse drecton untl the blade tp s vsble.
(6) After a cutter blade has been replaced, check that t rotates smoothly nsde the cutter
pen.
(7) If the cutter blade does not rotate smoothly or the cutter blade falls out after the cutter pen
has been mounted in the pen carriage, the inside of the holder is insufficiently lubricated.
In ths case, apply the grease provded wth the cutter pen set to the three ponts ndcated
by the arrows in the figure.
Be careful not to stab your finger when handling the cutter blade.

(1) Remove holder (B) by turnng the blade adjustment knob n the counterclockwse drecton.
(2) Remove the cutter blade and the sprng from the holder.
(3) Wth the plunger held at an angle, and wth the plunger cap pontng upward, nsert the
new cutter blade wth ts sprng attached nto the plunger.
Take care that the sprng does not fall off the cutter blade.
(4) Make sure that the cutter blade s nserted straght nto the plunger. If the cutter blade s
nserted at an angle, gently tap the plunger to correct the orentaton of the cutter blade.
(5) Wth the plunger n the uprght poston, nsert the holder cap untl you hear t clck nto
place. Turn the blade adjustment knob n the clockwse drecton to adjust the length of the
cutter blade.
Be careful not to stab your finger when handling the cutter blade.
