3.8 Setting the Cutting Conditions (Setting Conditions)
Ths plotter lets you regster eght dfferent groups of cuttng condtons n the plotter's memory. The cuttng
condtons stored n memory are referred to as settng condtons. Specfy each group of settng condtons to
match a partcular meda type.
The settng condtons can also be freely changed as requred. Use the [F1] through [F4] keys on the control
panel to move through the eght groups of settng condtons that are stored n memory untl you locate the
one that s sutable for the meda type you wll be usng. Two groups of settng condtons are assgned to
each of the four keys, and each of the eght groups s labeled wth a CONDITION (COND) number to enable
easy identification.
Set the cutting conditions after you have performed tool number assignment. Please see Section 5.9, "Assigning Tool
Numbers" for further details.
In ths secton, we wll descrbe the settng procedures for the cuttng force (pen force, creasng force), speed, cutter
blade type/offset, creaser, qualty, Thck Mode and the perforaton length.

Wth the plotter n Ready status, press the
[F1]
through
[F4] key
correspondng to the settng condton number for
whch you wsh to make settngs.
Settng condton numbers 1 and 5 are assgned to
[F1]
, 2 and 6 to
[F2]
, 3 and 7 to
[F3]
, and 4 and 8 to
[F4]
.
For example, f the
[F1] key
s pressed when COND 1 has been selected, the dsplay changes to COND 5. If a condton
number other than 1 was selected, COND 1 wll be dsplayed when the
[F1] key
s pressed. In the same way, press
[F2]
to select COND 2 and 6,
[F3]
to select COND 3 and 7, and
[F4]
to select COND 4 and 8.

The lower row of the dsplay changes from "READY+ TOOL1" to "CHANGE TOOL1". (The dsplay wll dffer accordng
to the settng condtons that have been made.)
