5.27 Special Functions
•
Setting the Display Language (LANGUAGE SELECTION) [Default setting: ENGLISH]
Ths functon determnes the language used on the dsplay panel.
•
Setting the Length Unit (LENGTH UNIT) [Default setting: mm]
Ths functon enables the dsplay unt shown on the LCD panel to be changed.
If "mm" s selected, the values are dsplayed n mllmeter unts.
If "nch" s selected, the values are dsplayed n nch unts.

Enabling or Disabling the ":" and ";" Commands [Default value: ENABLED]
When the GP-GL command mode s selected, ths functon enables or dsables the recognton of ":" and ";"
commands sent from the computer. If the first part of the transmitted data is missing, the problem might be
attrbutable to these commands. In such cases, set ths functon to DISABLED.

Moving the Tool in the Raised or Lowered Status after the "W" Command is Sent
[Default setting: TOOL UP]
When a GP-GL "W" command specfyng the creaton of a crcle or arc s sent from the computer, ths functon
determnes whether to move the tool to the startng poston for cuttng n the rased status or whether to leave t n the
status t was n pror to recept of the command.
When TOOL DOWN s selected, the tool s moved to the startng poston n the status (rased or lowered) t was n
before recept of the "W" command.
When TOOL UP s selected, the tool s rased before movng to the startng poston.
These settngs are effectve n the cuttng mode only.

Model No. Response [Default setting: 7595]
When the HP-GL™ command mode s selected, ths functon determnes the plotter's response to an "OI" request
sent from the computer.
When 7550 s selected, the plotter's response s 7550.
When 7595 s selected, the plotter's response s 7595.

Setting the Condition Priority [Default setting: PROGRAM]
Ths functon determnes whether to place prorty on the programmed cuttng condtons sent as commands from the
computer or on the cutting conditions that have been manually specified at the plotter's control panel.
When MANUAL s selected, commands specfyng cuttng condtons sent from the computer are gnored, and the
cutting conditions can only be specified or changed at the plotter's control panel. The specified cutting conditions are
retaned n the plotter's memory even whle the plotter s turned off.
When PROGRAM is selected, the plotter will assume the latest cutting conditions that have been specified either at
its control panel or by command input. When the plotter is turned off, only the cutting conditions that were specified at
the control panel will be retained, while any cutting conditions specified by command input will be lost.

Tool Exchange (Condition Selection)Commands (SP, J) [Default setting: ENABLED]
If MANUAL was selected for CONDITION PRIORITY, tool exchange commands are also gnored, but the tool
exchange command (SP, J COMMAND) itself can be specified as ENABLED or DISABLED.

Setting the Blade-tip Initial Position [Default setting: 2mm BELOW]
After the plotter s turned on or the Condton settngs are changed, the cutter pen blade s postoned on the medum
to adjust the blade tip orientation. This action is referred to as "initial blade control." Thus, this function specifies the
poston for ntal blade control.
When 2mm BELOW s selected, ntal blade control s performed 2 mm below the startng pont of cuttng.
When OUTSIDE s selected, ntal blade control s performed outsde the effectve cuttng area.
