Chapter 3 PREPARATIONS FOR CUTTING/PLOTTING
3.13 Using the Hold Function
Press the
[PAUSE] key
durng a cuttng or plottng operaton to temporarly suspend the cuttng or plottng
operaton.
When the PAUSE key setting in Special Functions is "Pause"
When the plotter s paused, an operaton selecton menu appears. Select whether to contnue or qut the suspended
cuttng or plottng operaton.
(1) Press the
[PAUSE] key
durng a plottng or cuttng operaton. The cuttng or plottng operaton s paused and the
screen shown below appears.

SPEED
QUALITY
JOB IS INTERRUPTED
CONTINUE QUIT
(2) Press the
[F2] key
(CONTINUE) to contnue the suspended cuttng or plottng operaton.
If the
[F4] key
(QUIT) s pressed, the BUFFER CLEAR OK? menu shown below appears.

CONFIRM DATA FROM
HOST STOPPED.
BUFFER CLEAR OK?
CLEAR CANCEL
Press the
[F2] key
to select CLEAR and clear the buffer memory. If you do not wsh to clear the buffer memory,
press the
[F4] key
to select CANCEL and return to the menu dsplayed n Step 1.
(3) If the
[F2] key
was pressed to select CLEAR, the dsplay changes as shown below and the buffer memory s
cleared.

(4) The plotter returns to Ready status.
When the PAUSE key setting in Special Functions is "Menu"
Note: This is the factory default setting.
When the plotter s paused, the PAUSE menu s dsplayed, and varous settngs can be changed.
(1) Press the
[PAUSE] key
durng a plottng or cuttng operaton. The cuttng or plottng operaton s paused and the
plotter goes nto pause status.
(2) Use the Pause menu to change the settngs as requred.
(3) Press the
[PAUSE] key
once agan to restart the paused or cancelled operaton.
