Chapter 5 FUNCTION SETTINGS AND OPERATIONS
5.13 Sorting
Sortng helps prevent wasted tme n tool changes and reduces the tme requred for a cuttng/plottng
operaton. When sorted data from the software s receved, less tme s requred for processng than when
sortng s performed on your plotter. In such cases, swtchng off sortng can speed up processng.
(1) Press the
[PAUSE] key
to select PAUSE mode.
(2) Press the
[NEXT] key
repeatedly untl the followng menu s dsplayed.

[F3] key
(FUNCTION) to dsplay the menu shown below.

[F4] key
(SORTING) to dsplay the Sortng settngs screen.

The currently selected mode s shown at the rght. Use the
[ ]

key
to cycle through OFF, 1, and 2, and to
select the mode.

: Sortng s deactvated.

In the data received, all data plotted by the same tool is grouped to minimize the number of tool changes and
reduce the tool-changng tme.

Addtonal settngs are appled to "1" above so that work done by the cutter pen comes last.
After selecting the mode, confirm your selection by pressing the
[ENTER] key
. To cancel your selecton, press the
[NEXT] key
.
(5) Press the
[PAUSE] key
to cancel PAUSE mode.

Data is stored in the plotter's buffer for sorting processing, and so it may take a moment for cutting to begin.

Complete the settings for COND Nos. 1 to 8 in advance for the tools to be used in sorting. See Section 3.8, "Setting
the Cutting Conditions", for further details.
