4.5 The Safety PAL Functions
The Safety PAL monitors the Main CPU RUN and Door Zone outputs, the NTS Terminal Limit and Door
Zone outputs, car Inspection and Door Gate/Lock inputs, and the speed outputs from both the Main
CPU and the NTS. The Safety PAL’s job is to interrupt or prevent a run operation in case of an unsafe
conditions.
