For the tractor without warm-up circuit, before starting the engine in cold weather, fill hot water with temperature
above 90
℃
into the water tank until hot water overflows from the drain valve of the cylinder block; at this moment,
close the drain valve, and top up hot water in the whole cooling system. Drain the oil in the oil pan (it is better to
drain the oil after flame-out when the oil is not cool down) into a container with a cover, and heat it to 70
~
90
℃
,
and then pour the hot oil into the oil pan. It is prohibited to bake the oil pan with fire. Set the hand throttle to the
maximum throttle scale position, and turn the key in clockwise direction to ST position (starting position) to start
the engine: After the engine is started, lose hold of the key to enable it to automatically return to ON position
(ignition position), and then, set the hand throttle to the minimum throttle scale position.
Important:
After the engine is started, lose hold of the key immediately to enable the key to automatically return to
"ON" position (see ignition lock picture). Otherwise, the engine will drive the starter motor, causing
damage to the starter motor.
Important:
The time of every start should not be more than 5s, and the time interval between continuous starts should
not be less than 15s. For maintaining charging performance of the battery, no more than 3 times of
continuous start is allowed. In case of failure to start the engine for three times in succession, the engine
cannot be started until the cause is investigated and handled.
4.3.2.2.Starting by a towing tractor:
When the engine is started by a towing tractor, the towed tractor should be engaged in the high gear 3th or 4th, and
the towing tractor speed should not be more than 15km/h.
Important:
During starting by a towing tractor, the main clutch pedal should be pressed immediately when the engine
starts running, and then the throttle opening scale should be reduced to avoid flame-out of the engine.
4.3.2.3.Use another battery as emergency battery to start the engine
