Verifying System Accuracy
CyberOptics can recertify the certification target and issue a new certificate of traceability as
needed for your equipment requirements. To re-certify your certification target, contact
CyberOptics Service and Support (See “Technical Support” on page ix.).

To verify accuracy of your SE500
ULTRA
This procedure provides a quick assessment of your system’s accuracy. To determine the exact
accuracy of the system, you must run the procedure 30 times and analyze the results. Contact
CyberOptics Service and Support for assistance (See “Technical Support” on page ix.).
1. Copy the file
cert_m <serial #>. srf
to the system hard drive (for example, drive D). This
file performs both high resolution and high speed inspections.
2. Open the Solder Paste Inspection application and open the SRFF.
3. To save measurement data for the certification target, open the Solder Paste Inspection
application. On the
File Handling
tab, verify that the
Write feature-level data files(s)
check
box is selected.
Note:
This step is only necessary if there is a need to proof that the verification was
performed.
4. Place the certification tool on the conveyor the same way as a panel.
5. On the toolbar, click to run the inspection.
6. Click to open the Failure Report and monitor the feature level results.

If the inspection results appear in green in the Panel View and there are no failures in
the Failure Report, the SE500
ULTRA
system is accurate within specification.

If any of the inspection results appear in red in the Panel View and there are failures in
the Failure Report, the SE500
ULTRA
system is not measuring accurately, call CyberOptics
Service and Support (See “Technical Support” on page ix.)

Note: The smallest features are not specified for use in High Speed mode and are acceptable if
the ones below a certain size fail in High Speed mode.
