8.8 Inspiration manifold assembly
Warning
The safety valve solenoid can get very hot. To prevent injury, be careful when servicing
the solenoid or other inspiration manifold components.
8.8.1 Oxygen sensor
Remove the oxygen sensor as follows. Install by reversing removal procedure.
1.
Open and prop lid (Section 8.5.1).
2.
Disconnect sensor:
• For oxygen sensors with an integral harness: disconnect the sensor harness from the
ventilator head harness.
• For oxygen sensors with a removable sensor harness: disconnect the sensor harness
from the top of the sensor.
3.
Remove the sensor: pull out sensors with an integral harness, and unscrew sensors with a
removable harness (Figure 8-31).
4.
Install the new sensor (Figure 8-32):
• If you are replacing an oxygen sensor with integral harness, order an oxygen sensor
kit (P/N G-062009-00), which includes the sensor, sensor harness, adapter, and screws
and washers.
• If you are replacing an oxygen sensor with removable harness, order the oxygen
sensor FRU (P/N G-062010-00), which includes the oxygen sensor only.
