Touch Panel Display Messages
This section explains the various messages that appear on the touch panel display.
Error Messages
Self-diagnostic (error) messages appear on the touch panel display at the following times:
• When copies cannot be made because of some operational error.
• When copies cannot be made because the conditions necessary for copying are not met.
• When you need to make a decision or take some action during scanning or copying.
Perform the necessary procedures as indicated by the messages. The following describes some
of the messages that require further explanation.
NOTE

The messages are listed in alphabetical order.
Add black toner.
Cause
: The copier has run out of toner of the colour indicated on the touch panel display.
Remedy
: Add toner of the colour indicated on the touch panel display according to the
procedure described in ‘Adding Toner’ (see p. 3-12).
Add fixing oil.
Cause
: There is little fixing oil remaining.
Remedy
: Follow the procedure given under ‘Refilling Fixing Oil’, on p. 3-19.
Adjusting... Please wait.
Cause
: The copier is making automatic adjustments.
Remedy
: Wait until the automatic adjustments are completed, and the Copy job will resume.
