Fetal and Labor - Basic Parameters
Rate of Descent
The Rate of Descent parameter controls the rate of fetal descent during labor (cm/minute). The fetus
descends only during contractions. Therefore, if there are no contractions, even if the rate of descent is
set to maximum, the fetus will remain at the same position.
Default : 1.0 cm/minute
Range : 0 cm/minute – 15 cm/minute
Fetal State
The Fetal State parameter determines the state of the fetus during labor and can be set to Calm Sleep ,
Active Sleep or Active Vigilance.
Default : Active Sleep
