Placental Perfusion Factor
The
Placental Perfusion Factor
parameter determines how easily blood flows into the placenta from
the maternal circulation. Lowering this factor results in a decreased blood flow and oxygen supply to
the fetus, leading to a gradual decrease in fetal heart rate, and a general deterioration of the fetus’
condition. The effect of this parameter is independent of uterine contractions.

Umbilical Flow Factor
The
Umbilical Flow Factor
parameter determines how easily blood flows into and out of the fetal side
of the placenta. Lowering this factor results in a decrease in blood flow and oxygen supply to the fetus’
heart, as well as an increase in the fetus’ blood pressure, leading to a decrease in fetal heart rate, and a
general deterioration of the fetus’ condition. This effect occurs much quicker with this parameter
compared to the Placental Perfusion Factor parameter. The effect of this parameter is independent of
uterine contractions.
