Process Communication
The communication settings allow to setup how to communicate with plugged devices such as PLCs or control
PCs. These settings affect all data that is sent with the "
Outputs " tool to these device types.
Setting Description
Protocol The communication interface to use:
IO-Link
UDP
TCP
IO-Link status
[IO-Link] Shows if there is an active connection to an IO-Link master.
IO-Link version
[IO-Link] Version number of the firmware of the IO-Link module within BVS ID .

Endianness [IO-
Link] Byte order of message elements that consists of multiple bytes:
Little endian: The lowest value byte is transferred first
Big endian: The highest value byte is transferred first
Port [UDP, TCP] The UDP/TCP communication port.
Send status
information
[UDP, TCP] Enables automatic sending of status messages every time a status changes. If this is
disabeld, status messages will be send solely upon an explicit request.
