
Procedure
1. Access CLI through the Telnet protocol or a Console connection.
2. From the command prompt, use the
radius-server
command to configure the
server settings.

host RADIUS primary host
key RADIUS shared secret
password RADIUS password fallback
port RADIUS UDP port
secondary-host RADIUS secondary host
timeout RADIUS time-out period
The following table describes the parameters for this command.
Table 41: radius-server parameters
Parameter
Description
host <address>
This parameter is the IPv6 or IPv4
Primary address of the RADIUS server
that is used for authentication.
[secondary-host <address>]
The secondary-host <address>
address> parameter is optional. If a
backup RADIUS server is to be
specified, include this parameter with
the IPv6 or IPv4 address of the backup
server.
port <num>
This parameter is the UDP port number
the RADIUS server uses to listen for
requests.
key
This parameter prompts you to supply
a secret text string or password that is
shared between the switch and the
RADIUS server. Enter the secret string,
which is a string up to 16 characters in
length. The password is hidden when
entered.
[password fallback]
This parameter is optional and enables
the password fallback feature on the
RADIUS server. This option is disabled
by default.
