options
AutoCAD uses the Heidi 3D Graphics System developed by Autodesk as the
default graphics display system.
Specifies options for maintaining speed during view manipulation by using
a less detailed rendering mode. For example, if a large drawing is currently
Gouraud shaded, you can select Wireframe to allow the drawing to degrade
to a wireframe representation of the view. Clear the Adaptive Degradation
check box to prevent the drawing from degrading.
You can select one or all of the available options. If you select more than one
option, the display mode changes first to the most detailed option, and then
degrades until it reaches the least detailed option or the option that requires
the least amount of system resources.
Specifies whether the tessellations remain static or dynamic. Dynamic
tessellation draws multiple tessellation lines and enables the tessellation
options. Dynamic tessellation uses more system resources than static
tessellation. Clear the Dynamic Tessellation check box to make the tessellation
options unavailable and use static tessellation.
Makes settings available for enhancing the display of lights, materials, textures,
and transparency in 3D views. This includes objects in the 3D Orbit view and
objects shaded using the SHADEMODE command.
Determines how to display isolines in 3D and whether to display back faces
in 3D.
Specifies whether you want to use software or hardware acceleration in 3D.
