If you are placing a text note with a leader, then the last leader point snaps to all possible leader attachment
points from nearby text notes.
Adding Text Notes
1 Click Annotate tab

Text panel
➤
Text.
The cursor changes to the text tool .
2 Click Place Text tab
➤
Alignment panel
➤
Left, Center, or Right.
3 For Leader, select a leader line option:
■ No Leader. Selected by default.
■
One segment.
■ Two segments.
■ Curved. Curved leaders have an elbow control that you can drag to change the curve shape.
TIP When you place a text note with a leader, the last leader point snaps to all possible leader
attachment points from nearby text notes.
4 Do one of the following:
■ For non-wrapping text . Click once to place the note. Revit Architecture inserts a text box in
which to type.
■ For wrapping text . Place the cursor in the drawing area, then click and drag to form a text
box.
■ For a text note with a one segment leader or an arc leader . Click once to place the leader
end. Move the cursor to draw the leader. Then click the cursor (for non-wrapping text) or
drag it (for wrapping text).
■ For a text note with a two segment leader . Click once to place the leader end. Move the
cursor and click again to place the leader elbow. Move the cursor and click it (for
non-wrapping text) or drag it (for wrapping text).
5 (Optional) Select attributes for the text on the Format panel: Bold, Italic, and Underline.
6 Enter the text in the text note box.
7 Click away from the text note to finish it.
The text note controls remain active so you can change the note's position and width.
