Outgoing Calls
Options for Outgoing Calls
Outgoing Calls
Outgoing calls are calls that you have initiated yourself.
Options for Outgoing Calls
An outgoing call can be initiated in two ways:
Dialling the Telephone Number
If you have already picked up the receiver before dialling, the telephone number that you have
entered is dialled immediately.
Dialling the Telephone Number with Dial Preparation
Dial preparation – first dialling and then picking up the receiver – makes it possible to check the
telephone number entered and, if necessary, to correct it before the connection is established.
Dialling the Telephone Number on Direct Exchange Line Access
If your system telephone has been configured as a direct exchange access point in the PBX,
you will hear an external dial a tone directly after picking up the receiver. The manner in which
an outgoing call is initiated is different than the manner in which a normal call is initiated, as
described previously.
