Link Layer Protocol
Description
Using the
ppp lqc
command, you can enable the function of ppp link quality monitoring.
Using the
undo ppp lqc
command, you can disable the function of ppp link quality
monitoring.
By default, the ppp link quality monitoring function is disabled.
The default value of parameter
resumptive-percentage
is equal to the value of
parameter
forbidden-percentage
.
This command can run real-time quality monitoring on the ppp link, including the ppp
links bound in MP. If the quality of a link is below the percentage of forbidden link quality,
this link is disabled. If the quality of the link is above the percentage of forbidden link
quality, the link is enabled.
When the link quality monitoring is enabled on the two ends of ppp link, the parameters
of routers on two ends must be equal. Generally, it is not recommended to enable the
link quality monitoring function on both ends of the link at the same time.
It is not recommended to enable the link quality monitoring on the dialup line. If the link
quality monitoring function is enabled on the dialup line, the DDR module will
disconnect the dialup line once the link is disabled. Thus the link quality monitoring
cannot run normally. Only when there is data to be transmitted, the DDR module calls
the dialup line again and the link quality monitoring can be restored normally.
