Parameter
inbound
: Set the CIR for incoming packets. This parameter is valid only when the
Frame Relay traffic policing is enabled on the interface.
outbound
: Set the CIR for outgoing packets. This parameter is valid only when the
Frame Relay traffic shaping is enabled on the interface.
rate-limit
: CIR in the range from 1 to 45000000 bps. By default,
rate-limit
is 56000 bps.
Description
Using the
cir allow
command, you can configure the committed information rate (CIR)
for a Frame Relay PVC. Using the
undo cir allow
command, you can restore the
default CIR for a Frame Relay PVC.
CIR is the transmit rate that the Frame Relay network can support in normal
circumstances. If there is no congestion on the network, it can guarantee the data can
be transmitted successfully at this rate.
