Description
Using the
sdlc simultaneous
command, you can enable SDLC the two-direction
simultaneous mode. Using the
undo sdlc simultaneous
command, you can disable
two-direction simultaneous mode.
By default, two-direction transmission the mode is adopted.
The SDLC primary station can work either under the two-direction simultaneous
mode or the unidirectional mode. Under the two-direction simultaneous mode, the
SDLC primary station may both receive data from and send data to the secondary
station. Under the unidirectional mode, the SDLC primary station can only receive
data but can not send data.

: Indicates that this end is the primary station which controls the whole
connection procedure.
secondary
: Indicates that this end is the secondary station which is controlled by the
primary station.
Description
Using the
sdlc status
command, you can configure the SDLC status. Using the
undo sdlc status
command, you can restore the SDLC status to the default value.
By default, the router is a
secondary
.
SDLC is an unbalanced-mode link layer protocol, that is, the roles of the devices at
two ends of the connection are not equal. The device which plays a leading role and
controls the connection procedure is called the primary station, the role of which is
