Note:
After the synchronous/asynchronous switchover of the serial interface, the interface baudrate will be
restored to the default baudrate in the new operating mode.
While setting the baud rate for the serial interface, it is necessary to pay attention to
such factors as the sync/async modes of the serial interface and the electric rules for
the external cable. In addition, it is necessary to note that the baud rate for the
asynchronous interface works between the router and the Modem only and that
between Modems need to be determined through negotiation between them. So in
asynchronous mode, the baud rates of routers at both sides can be set to different
values. In synchronous mode, the router at the DCE side decides the baud rate for
line transmission, and you just need to set it at the DCE side.

Description
Using the
clock
command, you can configure the clock selection mode of the
synchronous serial interface.
By default, DCEclk (providing clock for DTE) for DCE and DTEclk3 for DTE.
The synchronous serial interface works in two modes: DTE and DCE. Different
working modes lead to different clock selection methods.
