5.20 Motor contactors
The installed motor contactors are selected depending on the motor type and the corresponding
motor data. The contacts of the motor contactors are forced in accordance with DIN EN 81-1.
When operating asynchronous motors, two main contactors with 3 main contacts (3x NO) are used for
the motor connection and 3 auxiliary contacts (2x NO and 1x NC) each for the external contactor
monitoring.
When operating synchronous motors, one main contactor with 3 main contacts (3x NO) and one main
contactor with 4 main contacts (2x NO and 2x NC) are used for the motor connection. Both contactors
are equipped with 3 auxiliary contacts (1x NO and 2x NC) each for external contactor monitoring.
5.20.1 Activation of the motor contactors (X-K)
The motor contactors integrated in the frequency converter are activated by the lift control. Activation
takes place by applying the operating voltage to the connection terminal X-K (see connection plan).

The power supply of the motor contactors must be fed via the mains
fi lter of the lift control. If
this is not possible a separate mains fi lter (e.g. CORCOM type 3VK1F7135) can be used
alternatively.

Depending on the desing, motor contactors with AC- or DC-voltage will be used. As with the use of
contactors with DC-voltage the recti
fi
eres are already integrated in the inverter, for the activation of the
motor contactors AC-voltage can be applied to the terminal X-K generally.
CAUTION!
Caution!
Note operating voltage of the contactors! A wrong operating voltage can destroy the motor contactors!
