5.15 Policy Based Router (PBR)

5.15.1 Overview

The Cisco Policy Based Router provides several 10/100 Ethernet ports
that can be individually addressed. Each port is connected to the 3560

switches to provide additional redundancy between devices. This is
where all the policy routing and core routing occurs. All traffic from the

ArcLight Hub to the customer network is via the Policy Based Router.
The PBR software is pre-installed and tested at the factory. Figure 5-41
shows the policy router’s front panel LEDs and Figure 5-42 shows the

rear panel connectors.
