Screen Descriptions for NMS Client

Logging Levels

- This panel permits the operator to configure the level

of logging using drop down menus.

Monitor

- Select the level of CDC monitor process logging from the

dropdown menu.

Burst Statistics

- Select the level of burst statistics logging from the

dropdown menu.

ArcLight Messaging

- Select the level of hub management message

logging from the dropdown menu.

ArcIP

- Select the level of data traffic forwarding logging from the

dropdown menu.

IP Assembly

- Select the level of IP packet reassembly logging from the

dropdown menu.

SW Manager

- Select the level of software manager logging from the

dropdown menu.

- Select the level of utility card logging from the dropdown menu.

WAM

- Select the level of WAM/chassis health monitor logging from the

dropdown menu (this will be grayed out for MCD II configurations).

SNMP

- Select the level of SNMP messaging logging from the dropdown

menu.

OK button

– Does same thing as Apply button, but also closes the

current screen.

Apply button

– When clicked, causes any new values entered in all

fields on all tab screens to be stored in the NMS memory and
subsequently sent to the MCD. The current screen will remain open.

Cancel button

– When clicked, causes any new values entered in the

fields on any

Tab

screen to be discarded, closes the current screen, and

reverts to the next higher-level screen in the hierarchy. The next time

the screen is opened the values that existed before the current editing
session will appear. The Cancel button will not undo use of the OK or

Apply buttons.
