filter status field, located in the lower left corner of the Event Streamer
window will indicate,
Filter Off . If one or more items are not checked
the filter status field will indicate, Filter On .
Network Hardware – when checked, displays events originating in
network hardware elements.
Network Configuration – when checked, displays events relating to
configuration of the network.
NMS Software – when checked, displays events triggered by NMS
software activity.
User Login Activity – when checked, displays events triggered by NMS
users.
NMS Server Debug – when checked, displays events established for
debugging NMS server software.
Client Software – when checked, displays events triggered by client
software. Note: The client debug and server debug options are grayed-
out and may not be selected, due to the volume of information that
would flood the event streamer if one or both were selected.
Client Debug – when checked, displays events established for
debugging client software.
Exit – select Exit to close the Event Streamer window. When the Event
Streamer is opened again the events displayed will begin at the time the
window is opened.
Level Panel – The check boxes in the Level panel are used to select the
priority level of events listed in the Event Streamer display window. A
check indicates the corresponding priority event type will be displayed.
NOTE: If all items in both the Level panel and Event Type panel are
checked, the filter status field, located in the lower left corner of the
Event Streamer window will indicate, Filter Off . If one or more items
are not checked the filter status field will indicate, Filter On .
Info – events provided for information. There is no system impact
associated with these messages.
Error – events that have a direct impact on system performance and
need corrective action.
Warning – events that could impact system performance if not
corrected.
Debug – events that occur in the process of debugging a failure or
software change.
Other Criteria Panel – The fields in this panel can be used to further
restrict the events that are displayed to single categories. If the user
enters a Source, Code or User that is not recognized by the system, the
Log Manager display window will not contain any entries.
Source – this field is used to select the set of events, to be listed in the
Event Streamer display window, that originate from a single specified
source:

NMS server – this includes Network hardware, Network
configuration, NMS software, user login, and NMS server debug
related events
