3.3.16.2.5 Event Streamer
The Event Streamer provides a chronological listing of all events
entered into the event log. By selecting Controls, in the
Stream drop-
down menu, the user can define what data is entered into the database.
Then, using the View drop-down menu and Filter… continuation
button, the user can specify that only a limited subset of data to be
displayed. The user can also search for specific events, via the View
drop-down menu and Find… continuation button.

Note: All events are logged to disk on the NMS Server side despite what
is selected in the Stream menu. The event type selections under the
Stream menu set up which event types will show up in the event
streamer. The filter function then allows the user to further filter the
list of events already in the list.
Event Streamer Screen:
The Event Streamer screen size is controlled using the boxes on the
right side of the Event Streamer title bar. The screen can be

minimized , by clicking on the small box with the arrow pointing
diagonally down and to the left;
•
maximized , by clicking on the medium box with the arrow
pointing diagonally up and to the right;
•
returned to its original size , (after being maximized) by clicking
on the medium box with the arrow pointing diagonally down and
to the left; and
•
closed , by clicking on the largest box containing an x.
There are also horizontal and vertical scroll bars to control the portion
of the field shown in the visible window.
The events shown in the display window begin at the time the Event
Streamer window is opened.
