Field Description
configuration, 4= tation, 5=spare on, 6=getting version, 7=awaiting
idle ack, 8=idle. Normal operation states are 4 and higher. Below 4
are the setup states.
Bs (Status) cPCI bus number (3 for the left half of the chassis or 4 for
right half of the chassis)
Dv (Status) Device number on cPCI bus
Pred (Status) Slot predecessor for the slot access type (-1 to 9 where -1
signifies slot not configured or single slot in an access type so no
predecessor exists and 0 to 9 are valid slot predecessors)
Actp (Configuration) Access Type assignment for this CDC (0 - 9, 21).
Spare = 21
X (Status) CDC member number within an access type
Y (Status) Total number of CDCs in an access type
CtrFrq (Configuration) Center frequency in Mhz (50000 – 90000)
Ch/Sym (Configuration) Chips per symbol or K (4 – 150 even numbers only)
ATM (Configuration) ATM cells per burst 1, 2, or 4
Uplink (Configuration) Uplink frequency in MHz
Ath (Status) Adaptive Threshold used by the CDC’s Demodulation
algorithm
ChipRt (Configuration) Chip Rate = (Ch/Sym) x (DataRate) x (3)
DtR (Configuration) Data Rate in kbps: 32, 64, 128, 256, 512
ShortPN (Configuration) 8 characters containing 10 bits TAP CFG word, and
10 bits Shift Reg. contents.
Long PN (Configuration) 16 characters containing 24 bits TAP CFG word, and
24 bits Shift Reg. contents.
Preamble (Configuration) 4 Preamble bits of the word

5.10.7.3.4 MCD ‘fw’ Command
The ‘fw’ command displays the firmware and software versions present
in each of the components of the MCD. A typical example is shown in
Figure 5-29. See Figure 5-21 for CDC logical slot number
identification.
