Log Manager Screen – Network Hardware:
There are three drop-down menus;
Edit is used to capture log events presented in the display window for
use in other reports. When the user clicks on Edit, the drop-down
menu appears. If nothing in the display window is highlighted, the only
allowed selection is Select All. Click on Select All and items in the
display window will be highlighted. Click on Edit a second time and
now Copy is active. If the user clicks on Copy they will copy the log and
can then paste the log entries into another document or report.
If the user selects (highlights) one or more rows in the display panel
and then clicks on Edit, the items already highlighted can be copied by
clicking on Copy.
View is used to control the log events presented in the display window.
The drop-down menu provides two selections, Find… and Filter… and
they respond identically as described in the Event Streamer screen
section.
Settings is used to control what data is entered in the Log files.
Log Panel – This panel is used to enable or disable the logging of event
messages from various elements of the ArcLight system. A check
indicates the event messages for that element are being logged into the
database. This may be used to prevent flooding the database with error
messages generated by a malfunction in a single entity, to eliminate
messages of no interest, or to focus on log messages from a single
source. The user must have sufficient authority level to change the
logging configuration.
