Figure 5-38 shows the rear panel TX and RX input and output
connectors, alarm input connectors and power input connector for the
PCMAHC-70. Refer to the ArcLight Hub Installation and Maintenance
Guide for additional information.
5.12.2 Physical Interfaces
5.12.2.1 Serial Port Interface
The Serial Port signals are defined as listed in Table 5-15.

5.12.2.2 Ethernet Interface
The VPCMA-70 Ethernet interface is an RJ-45 10/100 Base-T interface
complying with the physical and electrical characteristics of the IEEE
802.3 specification.
5.12.2.3 RF Transmit/Receive Interfaces
The VPCMA-70 has 4 Tx/Rx interfaces all on its rear panel:
•
Tx In 70-Mhz 75-Ohm BNC – usually connected to the VFLM-
70.
•
Tx Out 70-Mhz 75-Ohm BNC – usually connected to the
appropriate upconverter, e.g. L-Band upconverter. A matching
pad may be needed if the other side of the connected cable has a
50-Ohm connector.
•
Rx In 70-Mhz 75-Ohm BNC – usually connected to the
appropriate downconverter, e.g. L-Band downconverter. A
matching pad may be needed if the other side of the connected
cable has a 50-Ohm connector.
•
Rx Out 70-Mhz 75-Ohm BNC – usually connected to the MCD
and carries the desired return channel signal after the
cancellation.
