all terminals on the channel stop normal transmissions during the
network quite time period. This field provides the time period between
the start of successive network quiet times in minutes. The range is 0-
255. If the value is 0, there is no recurrence of the network quiet time –
it is a single event.
Quiet Time Duration:
This field provides the duration of each network
quiet time in 5 millisecond LSBs. The range is 10-255.
Quiet Time Start:
This field provides the start time of the next network
quiet time period in POSIX struct timespec format: bytes s 4
bytes nanoseconds. The start epoch is January 1, 1970 at midnight.
Transponder Minimum Eb/No:
This parameter sets the minimum
required Eb/No in terms of dB, for the transponder network. The
RtNMS adjust the transponder-wide duty cycle to ensure that the
aggregate minimum Eb/No remains above the specified threshold.
VMT Minimum Eb/No:
This parameter sets the acceptable Eb/No
range below the current network-wide Eb/No. The RtNMS examines the
receive signal quality of each MCD summary packet and increase the
VMT’s power if it is too low.
VMT Maximum Eb/No:
This parameter sets the acceptable Eb/No
range above the current network-wide Eb/No. The RtNMS examines the
receive signal quality of each MCD summary packet and decreases the
VMT’s power if it is too high.
Transponder Polarization:
This parameter provides the polarization of
the transponder. It should match the Transponder Receive Polarization
value specified in the SED (Satellite Ephemeris Database) file used by
transceivers which will be active on this transponder.
Forward Link Count:
This field specifies the number of forward links
that follow.
Return Link Count:
This field specifies the number of return links that
follow.
OK button
– Does same thing as Apply button, but also closes the
current screen.
Cancel button
– When clicked, causes any new values entered in the
fields on any
Tab
screen to be discarded, closes the current screen, and
reverts to the next higher-level screen in the hierarchy. The next time
the screen is opened the values that existed before the current editing
session will appear. The Cancel button will not undo use of the OK or
Apply buttons.
