Use the following procedure to replace the fan (
Figure 7–6
).
Equipment Required:
Fan
Philips screwdriver
Equipment Damage
Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly grounded antistatic wrist strap
must be worn while handling any internal component.

1.
Turn instrument OFF, unplug the power cord, and remove the cover.
2.
Remove the fan guard from the fan and remove the filter.
3.
Pull the power connectors off the fan.
4.
Remove the four fan mounting screws and remove the fan.
5.
Install a new fan following the previous steps in reverse.
