SEL-351P Manual Técnico
Because SEL
OGIC
Control Equation display point setting DP1 is always at logical 0, the
corresponding text setting DP1_0 continually displays in the rotating default displays:
79 DISABLED
Additional Rotating Default Display Example
See Figure 5.17 and accompanying text in
Section 5: Trip and Target Logic
for an example of
resetting a rotating default display with the TARGET RESET pushbutton.

Figure SECTION 7: .29 is similar to Figure 4 in the

section in the

Quick-Start Installation and User’s Guide
, with additional Relay Word bit detail:
RAW52B
52b breaker auxiliary status – not time-qualified; RAW52B = logical 1 when
52b is closed (breaker open)
RAW52A
52a breaker auxiliary status – not time-qualified; RAW52A = logical 1 when
52a is closed (breaker closed)
WB52A
breaker status – time-qualified; WB52A = logical 1 when the breaker is
closed
TRCAP
trip capacitor fully charged, higher than 80 Vdc (TRCAP = logical 1) –
indicating there is sufficient energy for a trip operation
CLCAP
close capacitor charged higher than 20 Vdc (CLCAP = logical 1) – indicating
that the close capacitor is charged to a point from which it can be charged at a
faster rate by the capacitor charger
WBTR
energize trip output contact (form c) for a trip operation (WBTR = logical 1)
WBCL
energize close output contact (form c) for a close operation (WBCL =
logical 1)
WBBRK
momentarily energize break output contact (form b) at the end of a trip or
close operation (WBBRK = logical 1) to interrupt trip or close dc current at
the end of a trip or close operation, respectively
SF6LO
low SF6 gas pressure (SF6LO = logical 1)
Note that all the control circuitry shown in Figure SECTION 7: .29 is routed through
CONTROL connector J5, with corresponding terminals numbered.
Breaker auxiliary, capacitor charge state, and trip/close logic are all inputs into the final
trip/close logic. Any close operation is also dependent on the trip capacitor being fully charged –
the breaker may have to be instantaneously tripped right after a close operation into a fault.
If the trip capacitor is fully charged, higher than 80 Vdc (TRCAP = logical 1), the close capacitor
will also be charged above 80 Vdc. As explained above, “CLCAP = logical 1” indicates that the
