SEL-351P Quick-Start Installation and User's Guide (Portuguese)
User-Supplied Connectors
Connectors J3, J5, J6, and J10 on the side panel are the receptacle end
(female), with recessed male terminals inside. The user supplies the
complementary plug end (male), with recessed female terminals inside.
Each plug end (male) is a different size and uniquely keyed and can’t be
inserted into any other receptacle end (female):
J3: Molex Mini-Fit, Jr.
order no. 39-01-2105
J5: Molex Mini-Fit, Jr.

J6: Molex Mini-Fit, Jr.
order no. 39-01-2085
J10: Amp Mate-N-Lock II

The user-supplied plug ends (male) require the following corresponding
female terminals be installed in a recessed fashion inside:
Molex (30 total for J3, J5, and J6) order no. 39-00-0055
Amp (8 total for J10)
order no. 770008-4
Special tools and procedures are required to install terminals/wiring into
the user-supplied connectors.
Voltage Inputs
Voltage inputs VA, VB, and VC are the three phase voltage inputs.
Voltage input VS is the synchronism check voltage input. Voltage input
VS can be used for other functions besides just synchronism check – see
the
SEL-351P Manual Técnico
. Different voltage input ordering
options are described briefly in the side notes with Figure 2.
Voltage input VA (VOLTAGES connector J3, terminals 10 [+] and 5 [-
]) also provides the frequency measurement (e.g., for underfrequency
load shedding). Voltage input VA is typically connected in parallel with
the 120 Vac power input (POWER connector J6, terminals 8 [+] and 4 [-
]) when three-phase voltage is
not
brought to the SEL-351P.
With factory settings, the front panel FONTE CA LED illuminates when
voltage input VA is energized with nominal 120 Vac. See the

for more details on voltage connections
and the front panel FONTE CA LED.
Current Inputs
Residual current is derived internally from phase current channels IA,
IB, and IC (1 A nominal). Residual ground overcurrent elements operate
off of this derived residual current.
Neutral ground and sensitive earth fault (SEF) overcurrent elements
operate off of current channel IN (0.05 A nominal).
Connect 67 or 120 Vac:
Connect 67 Vac line-to-neutral
or 120 Vac line-to-neutral to
voltage inputs VA, VB, VC, or
VS.
Enable Fault Location if Three-
Phase Voltage is connected:
Use SET n command
[n = 1 (main settings),
n = 2 (alternate settings)]
Make the line parameter
settings:
Z1MAG, Z1ANG
Z0MAG, Z0ANG, LL
Enable fault locating:
EFLOC = Y
