DNS 2 IP (DNS_IP)
Use the DNS 2 IP field to record the IP address for DNS server 2.
This address must conform to Internet Protocol addressing
requirements, e.g. nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn, where nnn = a value of 0 to 255
excluding 0.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255.
There is no default value for this field.
Because a Gatekeeper device is used in the sample network, the
worksheet sample leaves this field empty.
DNS 3 IP (DNS_IP)
Use the DNS3 IP field to record the IP address for DNS server 3. This
address must conform to Internet Protocol addressing requirements,
e.g. nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn, where nnn = a value of 0 to 255 excluding
0.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255.
There is no default value for this field.
Because a Gatekeeper device is used in the sample network, the

Access Time (DNS_TIME)
Use the DNS Access Time field to record the DNS access time
requirements.
This value specifies the time at which the DNS server will be
accessed to update the BV1250 unit’s internally cached call access
data. Acceptable values range from 0000 to 2359 using a 24-hour
clock, e.g. 2359 means 23:59.
The default value for this field is 24:00 hrs.
Because a Gatekeeper device is used in the sample network, the worksheet
sample leaves this field empty.
SNMP Setup
If an SNMP compatible network management system is present, use the
SNMP Setup section of the worksheet to record information about available
Trap IP addresses and the facility’s Community name.
SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol is a TCP/IP Protocol suite
Application Layer utility that provides a mechanism to manage and control
network equipment from a central console system. All the BV1250 units
report any error codes or fault codes to the central console (Network
Management System NMS) by sending out Traps.
