Speed Dial
Use the Speed Dial section of the worksheet (Extension FX-E) to associate
from 1 to 20 forwarding numbers with a two-digit Speed Dialing code. This
feature is used with DISA enabled FXO units.
An FXO unit with the Line Type configured to DISA (Direct Inward
System Access) can have from 1 to 20 Speed Dial numbers associated with
it. (The DISA Line Type was configured in the Trunk Data section of this
worksheet and the worksheet extension, FX-A.)
Speed Dial numbers are associated with a two-digit Speed Dial code, 01
through 20. Callers from the PSTN to the FXO unit must first enter a DISA
password. Once the correct password is entered, the caller has the option of
dialing an * symbol followed by the three digit Speed Dial code to access
numbers associated with the Speed Dial code.
The * (asterisk) must be keyed first before the caller can enter a
Speed Dial code.
The worksheet provides space for up to 5 forwarding numbers. Use the
Worksheet Extension FX-E, to record additional forwarding numbers.
