4.4.2 Rack Mounting

The BV1250 unit can also be mounted in a standard 19” rack using the
optional rack mounting kit.

Keep the following considerations in mind when rack mounting the
BV1250 base unit.

•

The 19” rack should conform to the standard 1U (Unit) size with a
depth of 500mm or more.

•

Allow 1000mm front and back clearance for maintenance purposes.

•

If the rack has a rear cover, this cover should be equipped with ample
provisions for ventilation. Ventilation may be either passive (holes) or
active (fan).

•

The vertical positioning of the base unit within the rack system can be
altered by swapping the left and right mounting brackets.

•

Two types of mounting screws are supplied with the rack mounting
kit:

Unified fine thread screw (Screw diameter : No.
10-32-UNF) without washer and washer spring

Metric coarse thread screw (5 mm ø) with
washer and washer spring

Select the screw types that best fit the installation requirements.
