The file saved in this manner is written to the unit's directory along
with the
OFDD.VHO file, and can be reloaded from the Tone folder
of other units with the Customer Tone Setting dialog's Open button.
The file written in this fashion is called
_tone_current .

4. The MCS then returns to the Tone folder and the Tone Library list
displays all customer tone as Custom in the Default/Custom column.
Repeat the preceding procedures for each tone to be customized.
5. If desired, click the Tone Folder Save button to save the entire
custom tone-set (8 tones) as a Tone Group File.

The file created in this manner is saved to a new subdirectory
beneath the unit's
OFDD.VHO directory AND to a special TONE
subdirectory directory beneath the CON50/DATA directory.
When a tone set is saved in this manner, it becomes available on the
Tone folder's Tone pull down menu.
All default and new tone definitions are uploaded to the unit during the
OFDD.VHO file transfer process described in Section 5.10 of this
document.
Automatic Howler Tone
The BV1250 is equipped with a function to send out the howler tone
(warning sound). When an ordinary analog telephone set attached to a
BV1250 remains off-hook for predefined period of time, a series of tones
are generated. The howler tone is sent out for 20 seconds. If the off-hook
state persists BV1250 will lock out the line. The lock out is released upon
replacing the handset.
When a user takes a telephone handset off-hook to place, a call DT (Dial
Tone) is sent out for 20 seconds. The DT will change to BT (Busy Tone)
if the user does not start dialing. BT is sent for 20 seconds. If the handset
is not replaced the BV1250 will send a howler tone for 20 seconds to gain
the user’s attention. The "send" time for these audible tones are system
fixed.

The file _tone_data is the default tone set.

If any of the default library is used in the tone set, it is defined in _tone_data file. If any of the
tones within a library are custom defined, the library has to be saved by a new name. The
_tone_current name points to that file. See Appendix H: for more about file locations.
