Network
Use the Network section of the worksheet to record parameters used in
checking network connectivity between the BV1250 unit and the immediate
Ethernet switch or router to which the unit is connected.
To perform checks, a BV1250 unit transmits ICMP error checking packets
on a defined error checking timing cycle. If no reply is detected, the link
between the unit and Ethernet switch is broken.
This feature’s information is typically used in cases where BV1250 units
are working in groups associated with a PBX. In this case, failed links can
be bypassed as calls are rerouted through active links.
Figure 3-19 illustrates how the various parameters (underlined) interact in
the error detection process.

Regular Timing
Use the Regular Timing field to record the timing cycle over which
the error checking packets will be transmitted during normal
operation.
The default setting for this value is 0 seconds.
