Connect Frame Ground and Signal Ground Cables

All unit chassis must be grounded to a Communication 1 earth ground. If a
unit is interconnected with a PBX, a Signal Ground cable must also be
installed.

To connect the Frame Ground:

1.

Use the terminal screw located at the rear of the base unit and to the left of the
power connector to secure one end of the FG and SG grounding cables.

2.

Connect the other end of the frame grounding cable to a protective earth
grounding point.

3.

Connect the SG cable to the PBX SG terminal.

In the case of BV1250 units equipped with E&M and E&M-OD
boards, the SG cable should also be interconnected with a
common ground that is shared with the PBX as shown in
Figure 4-16.
